Tarita Biver is Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry. She received her PhD in Chemical Sciences in February 2006 from the University of Pisa (Italy). Her research mainly deals with the study of reaction mechanisms: the thermodynamic and kinetics aspects of solution equilibria and relevant speciation are enlightened mainly by spectrophotometric and spectrofluorometric techniques. This approach is applied to different fields, ranging from bioinorganic chemistry (small molecules/drugs interactions with biosubstrates), environmental chemistry (micellar extraction and pollutants toxicity) and materials chemistry (dyes characterisation and application as sensors, solar concentrators or smart paintings).
